Education:
Institute of Economics and Social Technologies of the Kazan State Power Engineering University on specialty in historical and archival studies (graduated in 2005).
From 2005 to 2008 he studied at the postgraduate course of the Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Place of work, position: Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Senior Researcher of the Department of Medieval History (from March 1, 2008 to 2010);

since 2010 – Senior Researcher of the Center for Study of the History and Culture of the Tatar-Kryashens and Nagaybaks, Head of the Center (from May 2015 to December 2021);

from December 2021 – Head of the Department of History of the Volga and Cis-Urals Regions.

Academic degree

On December 26, 2008, he successfully defended dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences on the topic: “Missionary activity of the Russian Orthodox Church in relation to the Muslims of the Middle Volga region in the 19th – early 20th centuries. (1800–1917)".

On June 8, 2018, he successfully defended dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences on the topic: "Christian education and the formation of cultural and religious institutions of the Tatar-Kryashens of the Volga-Ural region (the last third of the 18th – early 20th centuries)".

Research interests: interfaith relations in the Volga-Ural region in the 18th – early 20th centuries, the history of the peoples of the Middle Volga region.
