Abstract

The publication presents documents from the Ufa Prikaznaya Izba fund of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts, revealing one of the mechanisms for integrating representatives of the social group of Bobyli (yasak Tatars, Maris, Chuvashes, etc.) into the Bashkirtsy of the Western Urals in the 17th century. Based on the materials presented, it can be concluded that during the period under review, the transfer of Bobyli to the Bashkirtsy by imposing a salary yasak on them and recording them in the salary lists was a common phenomenon and led to a rapid increase of votchinniks-asaba in the region.
