Abstract

Through the prism of the generational approach, the article examines the life and work of an outstanding scientist, academician of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Indus Rizakovich Tagirov, who celebrates his 90th anniversary. The author analyzes the phenomenon of the "generation of the sixties" in the history of Kazan University, tracing the continuity of scientific schools from teachers (I.M. Ionenko, G.N. Wulfson, A.S. Shofman, etc.) to their students. Particular attention is paid to the role of I.R. Tagirov as an organizer of science during his deanship and many years of leadership of the dissertation committee. On the basis of personal memories, the author reconstructs the unique style of "Tagir" leadership, which combined academic democracy, high expert responsibility and the ability to form broad interregional scientific communications. The work reveals the role of the dissertation committee as a school of professional excellence. The final part of the article is devoted to the comprehension of the image of the Teacher in the system of spiritual values of I.R. Tagirov, presented by him as a synthesis of personal experience, family traditions and high civic service.
