Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of the formation of the estate groups of the Teptyars and Bobyls in the Ufa province (1719–1744), Orenburg province (1744–1781), Ufa governorate (1781–1796). The factors that influenced the creation of a separate group of tax-paying population, which had a special form of fiscal taxation, exempted from recruitment and owned land plots on a long-term lease basis, were analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion that the basis of this social stratum was immigrants from the territory of the Middle Volga region – yasak Tatars and Mari, who settled the lands of the Bashkir patrimonial landowners.
