History of the creation of the draft charters of the Ufa Darulmugallimin "Sultaniye" and the Ufa Darulmugallimat "Sultaniye"

Based on archival documents and newspaper materials, the events that preceded the development of draft charters of two teachers’ schools in Ufa – male (Darulmugallimin) and female (Darulmugallimat) – are reconstructed through the prism of the views of intellectuals as active participants in the processes of social transformations of the early 20th century. The role of the Anniversary Committee in holding events to honor the Orenburg Mufti M.Sultanov is shown. The contribution of Ufa representatives to the preparation of draft charters of Darulmugallimin and Darulmugallimat was noted. This became possible thanks to the tandem of scholars, representatives of the nobility and merchants of the Orenburg Muslim Spiritual Assembly district. It is noted that this initiative was not supported by the authorities, however, the anniversary events, which received wide public response, were of great importance in the consolidation of Russian Muslims.
