The review describes the content of the collection of documents intended to study the economic situation of the rural population of the Zаkazany’e in the 19th – early 20th century. The review examines such problems as scientific relevance, practical significance (relevance) of the collection's documentary corpus from a historiographical perspective. Some shortcomings of the archeographic design of published documents are noted – in the preparation of headings and reference information about documents.
